Uses
Lenor - 72 is a form of progesterone (a female hormone involved in conception), that is used as an emergency contraceptive (EC) for the purpose of pregnancy prevention after contraceptive failure or unprotected coitus. It prevents ovulation, disrupts fertilization, and inhibits implantation.
How To Take
Use Lenor - 72 as recommended by your physician. In case you experience vomiting within one hour of taking either dose of Lenor - 72, consult with your doctor. You should visit your doctor for three weeks after taking Lenor - 72. Consult with your doctor immediately in case you miss your period following the use of Lenor - 72. Do not use Lenor - 72 as ongoing pregnancy protection or a routine method of contraception.
Side Effects
Stop taking levonorgestrel (EC) and seek emergency medical attention and seek emergency immediately in case you have any of these severe side effects: an allergic reaction (difficulty breathing; closing of the throat; swelling of the lips, tongue, or face; or hives); or severe pain or tenderness in the stomach area. Continue to take levonorgestrel (EC) and consult with your doctor in case you have any of side effects especially bothersome listed below: nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea; fatigue; headache; changes in menstrual bleeding (spotting, earlier or later menstrual period, heavier or lighter menstrual bleeding, longer or shorter menstrual period); dizziness; or breast tenderness.
Missed Dose

Precaution
In deciding to use a medicine, the risks of taking the medicine must be weighed against the good it will do. This is a decision you, your sexual partner, and your doctor will make.
